VSM

A vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) is an instrument that is used to measure magnetic properties. It is also called a Foner magnetometer or M-H Curve Hysteresis Graph Test System.
VSM is composed of a master device, an electromagnet, a vibrator, a computer. The electromagnet source, the vibrator source, the magnetic moment measuring unit and the magnetic field measuring unit which all controlled by MPU (AT89C52) constitute the instrument. The instrument communicates to the computer with the standard RS-232-C serial interface, then enhanced systematicness of the instrument and operability of the hardware. Operating functions of the special complement software is powerful and software is used conveniently.

Working Principle

In physics, a solenoid refers to a multiple wound wire, which can be hollow or have a metal core inside the winding. When current passes through a wire, a uniform magnetic field is generated inside the solenoid. Solenoids are important components. Many physics experiments require a uniform magnetic field for operation.
